Sonix Golf
Sonix Golf, LLC is a privately owned company based in Santa Clara, CA. We create custom golf targets designed specifically for driving ranges and practice facilities. Our goal is for every practice facility in the U.S. to utilize our targets to make practice more fun, more focused, and ultimately sell more balls. We believe that Sonix Golf targets will assist golfers of all ages and ability levels achieve lower scores and enjoy a more productive practice session.

Caroline O’Connor founded Sonix Golf after a successful 17-year tenure as the Director of Women’s Golf & Head Coach at Stanford University. During her career as a player and instructor she developed a target system that eventually made its way to Stanford. The targets have been a tremendous success for over a decade by top collegiate teams, as well as professionals and amateurs of all abilities. After leaving Stanford and realizing the impact the targets have had on numerous players, Caroline decided to produce and distribute the targets to facilities nationwide.

While At Stanford

At Stanford Caroline guided her teams to 17 consecutive NCAA post-season appearances, with an average finish of 11th place. Her team placed in the top-10 on seven occasions, including program best finishes of 2nd, 4th, and 5th. Under Caroline’s leadership Stanford won the Pac 10 Championship and were runner’s-up twice. In 2007 her team placed 1st at the NCAA Regional tournament. She has coached 16 All-Americans and 33 Scholastic All-Americans. Caroline was voted the West Region Coach of the Year by the National Golf Coaches Association in 2001.

Caroline's Former Players

Four of Caroline's former players--Hilary (Homeyer) Lunke, Mhairi McKay, Stephanie Louden and Kim Hall--have gone on to make their mark on the LPGA Tour. Lunke captured the 2003 U.S. Women’s Open Championship while McKay is a two-time Solheim Cup team member.

Prior to Stanford

Prior to her time at Stanford Caroline was a golf instructor at The Academy of Golf at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She also played on the Future’s Professional Women's Golf Tour for two years after earning a degree in English from St. Francis College.

Meredith McGrath enjoyed a successful professional tennis career prior to co-founding Sonix Golf.  She achieved career-high world rankings of #18 in singles and #4 in doubles, and notched wins over such players as Martina Navratilova, Martina Hingis, Anna Kournikova, Jana Novotna, and Arantxa Sanchez Vicario.

Professional highlights

Meredith's professional highlights include:  Wimbledon Singles Semi-finalist; U.S. Open Mixed Doubles Champion; Wimbledon and Australian Open Doubles Finalist;  3 WTA Tour singles and 25 doubles titles; winner of 19 national and international junior tournaments.

While at Stanford

Meredith played her collegiate tennis at Stanford University.  There she earned All-American honors in both singles and doubles after having achieved an NCAA ranking of #2 in singles; #1 in doubles. She was also the recipient of the Block S Award for the Most Outstanding Freshman Athlete at Stanford. Meredith earned her BA from Stanford University where she is also a member of the 2012 Hall of Fame class.  She worked at Cisco Systems as a Sponsorship Marketing Specialist and served as an assistant coach for the Stanford tennis team.
